019/365: Still sick

I’m still sick but I managed to go to work today. Although I feel much sick today than yesterday. :(

I woke up this morning feeling sick. My head was aching and my throat was sore. So I decided to take a leave to rest and hopefully feel much better tomorrow.

017/365: God ♥s You

Every time I pass by a The Flower Collection store I always check if they’re having a sale. A single blouse regularly costs 999Php! So whenever there is a sale, I see to it that I check the stocks and buy at least an item. I have 3 new blouses from them, the cost of the 3 blouses costs 1.5 blouse in the regular price. ♥

016/365: Health is Wealth

I’ve been reading Women’s Health ever since they released their first issue. Someday I want to be able to find the time to do the exercise they teach every issue. :)

Today was the longest solar eclipse but I wasn’t able to get a glimpse of it. :(

014/365: Chickenjoy!

Next to KFC, I love Jollibee fried chicken :) I don’t know why but if I had to choose between McDonald’s and Jollibee I’d definitely choose Jollibee. Bida ang sarap! :P

013/365: My space

I was supposed to go for an interview today but decided not to pursue my application anymore. I’m getting confused. Just when I decided that I should leave, something comes up and makes me hesitate to leave. The whole day I was just in front of my laptop, trying to read more about PEGA and Java. The books that you can see are the books way back from when I started as a Programmer Trainee. I was reviewing for a technical interview but I never received the call. I don’t know now if I should still keep my doors open on this opportunity or not. :(

012/365: Recent Purchase

I was at SM Makati yesterday and decided to drop by the Supplies section. I needed to buy a special paper for my resume and some brown envelope. I then remembered that my calculator at home is not working anymore and found this orange calculator and decided to buy it. I was about to go to the counter but I saw this plain brown notebook (below the calculator) and added it to my purchase. Haha!

011/365: The Choice is Yours

This is just one of the many stickers that you can find in our office. In an effort of the company to participate in Environment Week we decided to print out some Environmental slogans that would convey or promote the idea of conservation and taking care of our environment. But then again, the printing of these stickers is somewhat an issue already because of wasting ink and paper :P But our defense is that we used recycled paper/scratch paper to print those stickers. Hehe!

010/365: Major Purchase

Bought a Compaq Presario CQ40-416AU yesterday. I actually wanted the MSI because it has a 12” netbook but when I got to AccentMicro the only available netbook they had from MSI were all 10”. So I had to settle for a full blown laptop instead. My dad also bought the same laptop :P We bought it from the same store and we got the following as freebies:
- 2 Sun Prepaid Broadband (HP & Sun tie up)
- 1 4GB Flash Drive
- 1 Wireless Gaming Mouse
- Free upgrade of 1GB RAM for each laptop

The downside of having this laptop is that its not Windows XP ready. There’s some special/techie thing that needs to be done for it to be able to handle Windows XP. For now, I’m running on Ubuntu but hopefully by this week I’d be able to have it working on Windows XP :D
